Borse ASI-CAIF per studenti dei corsi di laurea magistrale in Fisica e Ingegneria - Scadenza: 6 aprile 2018

Tali borse si inseriscono nel Programma promosso da ASI e CAIF per l’internazionalizzazione del processo di formazione di studenti italiani meritevoli. I borsisti saranno inseriti in gruppi di ricerca di prestigiosi Istituti Nord Americani interessati ad offrire un programma di formazione a studenti italiani, previa valutazione di corrispondenza tra il profilo del borsista selezionato e il programma di ricerca di comune interesse tra ASI e il gruppo di ricerca ospitante. 

Una commissione ASI-CAIF curerà la selezione degli studenti, valutando i titoli e le competenze dichiarate e autocertificate nella domanda di partecipazione e negli allegati. Alla valutazione di titoli e competenze sarà assegnato un punteggio massimo di 70/100 punti

I candidati che avranno ottenuto un punteggio di almeno 50/100 nella valutazione dei titoli saranno invitati ad effettuare un colloquio con la commissione da svolgersi presso la sede ASI di Roma, durante il quale si accerterà la conoscenza della lingua inglese (livello minimo richiesto B2) e l’interesse verso le tematiche aerospaziali. Al colloquio potrà essere assegnato un punteggio massimo di 30/100

Agli studenti verrà richiesta anche una lettera motivazionale da presentare contestualmente alla domanda e che sarà oggetto di discussione in sede di colloquio, nella quale lo studente dovrà esprimere una o più preferenze (fino ad un massimo di 3) sulla sede di destinazione della internship e proporrà un suo argomento/progetto oggetto dell’apprendistato. 

Ai vincitori verrà erogata una borsa di importo massimo corrispondente a  € 9.500,00, a copertura delle spese personali, di vitto, di alloggio, di viaggio (da e per l’Italia) e delle necessarie polizze assicurative (inclusa la polizza sanitaria). La modalità di erogazione della borsa prevede un rimborso per le spese di viaggio, alloggio e assicurazione ed un quantum mensile per il vitto e le spese personali. 

CAIF sarà a disposizione per assistere gli studenti con l’organizzazione della loro permanenza negli Stati Uniti.

Accepting Applications for 2018 ISTAT Scholarships


THE INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF TRANSPORT AIRCRAFT TRADING (ISTAT) FOUNDATION is now accepting applications for the 2018 ISTAT Foundation Scholarship Program [1].

The ISTAT Foundation is actively engaged in helping university students develop potential careers in aviation by offering scholarship support.
The ISTAT Foundation Scholarship Program is administered by the Scholarship Committee of the ISTAT Foundation Board of Trustees.

YOUR INSTITUTION IS WELCOME TO SUBMIT ONE (1) CANDIDATE FOR CONSIDERATION.

For institutions that have more than one aviation-related course/program, one candidate per course/program can be submitted.

THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS TUESDAY, 1 MAY 2018.

Candidates are required to meet the following criteria:

            * Completion of at least two years of undergraduate (bachelors) studies or be enrolled in graduate (masters) or post graduate (doctoral) studies
            * Students must hold an academic ranking within the top 25% (75 -
100%) (United States Grade Point Average requirement: 3.0 or above on a
4.0 scale)
            * Need of financial support for university tuition-only fees
            * Enrolled in one of the following programs: aviation finance, aviation law, aeronautical engineering, aviation management, aeronautical science, aviation computer science, aviation maintenance, airport management, air traffic control, or related field -- flight students with an interest in aviation finance, law, engineering, etc.

THE APPLICATION IS TO BE COMPLETED BY THE STUDENT WITH ASSISTANCE FROM INSTITUTIONAL ADMINISTRATORS. Students should have the below application materials ready prior to beginning the online application (scanned, PDF or Word file format) as they will not be able to access their application once it is saved in the system. All documents are required in order to complete and submit your final application.

            * Student resume/CV
            * Personal Statement - Essay Requirements: (1) reason(s) for applying,
(2) career goals in the aviation industry, (3) activities demonstrating leadership abilities, (4) a description of financial need, and (5) your interest in joining the ISTAT [3] community. Minimum of 500 words.
            * Two (2) letters of recommendation from employers or faculty members
            * Copy of official academic transcripts from university
            * Financial Aid section - completed by the student with authorization from a Financial Aid Officer at your institution.
