THE INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF TRANSPORT AIRCRAFT TRADING
(ISTAT) FOUNDATION is now accepting applications for the 2018 ISTAT Foundation
Scholarship Program [1].
The ISTAT Foundation is actively engaged in helping
university students develop potential careers in aviation by offering scholarship
support.
The ISTAT Foundation Scholarship Program is administered
by the Scholarship Committee of the ISTAT Foundation Board of Trustees.
YOUR INSTITUTION IS WELCOME TO SUBMIT ONE (1) CANDIDATE
FOR CONSIDERATION.
For institutions that have more than one aviation-related
course/program, one candidate per course/program can be submitted.
To submit a candidate, please send their name and email
address to ISTATSCHOLARSHIPS@ISTAT.ORG
and provide them with the following link to begin completing the scholarship

THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS TUESDAY, 1 MAY 2018.
Candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
* Completion of at least two years of
undergraduate (bachelors) studies or be enrolled in graduate (masters) or post
graduate (doctoral) studies
* Students must hold an academic
ranking within the top 25% (75 -
100%) (United States Grade Point Average requirement: 3.0
or above on a
4.0 scale)
* Need of financial support for
university tuition-only fees
* Enrolled in one of the following
programs: aviation finance, aviation law, aeronautical engineering, aviation
management, aeronautical science, aviation computer science, aviation
maintenance, airport management, air traffic control, or related field --
flight students with an interest in aviation finance, law, engineering, etc.

extra-curricular/community activities indicating leadership qualities
THE APPLICATION IS TO BE COMPLETED BY THE STUDENT WITH
ASSISTANCE FROM INSTITUTIONAL ADMINISTRATORS. Students should have the below
application materials ready prior to beginning the online application (scanned,
PDF or Word file format) as they will not be able to access their application
once it is saved in the system. All documents are required in order to complete
and submit your final application.
* Student resume/CV
* Personal Statement - Essay
Requirements: (1) reason(s) for applying,
(2) career goals in the aviation industry, (3) activities
demonstrating leadership abilities, (4) a description of financial need, and
(5) your interest in joining the ISTAT [3] community. Minimum of 500 words.
* Two (2) letters of recommendation
from employers or faculty members
* Copy of official academic
transcripts from university
* Financial Aid section - completed by
the student with authorization from a Financial Aid Officer at your
institution.
